The release of I AM from Craft Works distillery represents the culmination of the Journey that Craig “aka Crafty” Field has taken over the past 5 1/2 years. His first Craft Works Distillery release is a mixture of all those highs and lows that he has taken, and represents the DNA that is now sown into Craft Works Distillery,
Using a variety of Malts based on a Stout Mash bill, the deliberate cask selections of charred and uncharred seasoned casks has added a complexity to this beautiful release. Released at a cask strength of 62.5% ABV, I AM is the culmination of Crafty's journey and it is a must have Whisky for anyone that has shared his journey, a collectors item for those that do, but above all it is a reflection of the Man determined to Humanise the art of Whisky.
Tasting Notes:
Colour: Tawny
Nose: Sweet nose with sultanas, Toffee and Coco Nibs
Palate: Rich dark fruits emerge with Cherry ripe. Slight oak with caramelised wood sugars.
Finish: Hot long finish, with sweetness and dark chocolate
